I’m Chrissie, freelance food writer and photographer.
I use words and photos to showcase your food, recipes, or products.
If I had to guess, you’re probably a little nuts about your corner of the foodie world, whether it’s blogging, cheese making, candle pouring, or burger flipping. And that passion is what makes you – and your brand – compelling.
But drive alone isn’t enough. You need powerful words and images. The kind that leaves zero doubt about who you are, why you’re unique, and why your dream client or consumer must pick up what you’re putting down.
It takes more than delicious recipes or an interesting topic to attract diners, sell cookbooks, or engage readers. Every facet of your brand needs to stand out to customers and consumers, setting you apart and showing exactly why you (not your competitors) are worth their time, money, and calories. And that includes your food photos and content.

With over 12 years of professional experience and a borderline obsession with creative outlets ranging from the kitchen to the studio, I partner with dedicated foodies to help your business shine.
So, you ask, how did a gal with a background in the nonprofit sector end up as a food writer and photographer?
The birth of my daughter in 2015 changed everything – from how I cooked ever day to my career. The sleep-deprived, caffeine-fueled wheels started to turn…what did I love so much that I wanted to spend my time and energy doing it every single day? With kids in the picture (not to mention endless schedule conflicts, the insane cost of childcare, and all the #momguilt) I found myself asking: is the juice worth the squeeze?
